Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Banana Smoothies
Three kiddie flavor favorites (peanut butter/jelly, peanut butter/banana, and strawberry/banana) all join forces in this cool, creamy smoothie that’s great for breakfast or on a break from playing in the sun. Try adding a spoonful of your favorite jelly, or experimenting with different nut butters.
Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Banana Smoothies
Yield: 4 (4-ounce) smoothies
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 banana, broken into pieces
- 8 strawberries, roughly chopped
- 1 cup liquid such as 100% fruit juice or organic, coconut, or nut milk
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender; puree until very smooth.
- Pour out into small glasses and optionally garnish with a strawberry slice and chopped peanuts.
- Note: I like to freeze my fresh fruit before making smoothies, which gives them a really nice, thick texture. If you choose to do this, you’ll need about 1/2 cup additional liquid.
