Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Banana Smoothies

Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Banana Smoothies

Three kiddie flavor favorites (peanut butter/jelly, peanut butter/banana, and strawberry/banana) all join forces in this cool, creamy smoothie that’s great for breakfast or on a break from playing in the sun. Try adding a spoonful of your favorite jelly, or experimenting with different nut butters.

Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Banana Smoothies

Yield: 4 (4-ounce) smoothies

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, broken into pieces
  • 8 strawberries, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup liquid such as 100% fruit juice or organic, coconut, or nut milk
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender; puree until very smooth.
  2. Pour out into small glasses and optionally garnish with a strawberry slice and chopped peanuts.
  3. Note: I like to freeze my fresh fruit before making smoothies, which gives them a really nice, thick texture. If you choose to do this, you’ll need about 1/2 cup additional liquid.
