Los Angeles is currently celebrating National Grilled Cheese Month, and for the month of April, we’re going all out. If there’s one thing Angelenos don’t have, it’s self-restraint—and maybe also tact. And what better way embrace this by indulging in the city’s finest offerings of limited-availability gourmet feasting menus and tasting events.

Here are some of the biggest Grilled Cheese Month happenings around town:

Through the month of April, Clementine is featuring an entire menu devoted to grilled cheese sammies. Enthusiasts of all things melty and cheesy will find a sandwich here for their palate. For the refined and sophisticated, have a taste of the Grapes of Wrath, an open-faced sandwich with roasted balsamic grapes, soft brie cheese, and a hint of savory herbs. If you’re really just looking to tie on a bib and let the greasy cheeses fall down your chin, try the Pretzel Paroxysm, which comes stacked with turkey, thick-cut bacon, and a pile of oozing white cheddar cheese, or the Philly Cheespocolypse, which leaks drips of American and Provolone cheese, along with a faucet of beefy au juc, all over your grinning face.

Don’t miss Clementine’s big event this month, the Spring Melt on April 14. Pairing up with local hunger-fighting organization Food Forward, Clementine is bringing its exclusive grilled cheese menu to the fundraiser, which will also feature citrus cocktails, a silent auction, and a live dj. Also happening this month is National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day at The Churchill. While their sandwich names aren’t as inspired as those at Clementine, the ingredients themselves sound like strong contenders in the quest for best grilled cheese. Rounding out the month is the grand finale of all cheese pig-outs, taking place at the 10^th Annual Grilled Cheese Invitational on April 28 in Pasadena. This manic cheese-crazed event almost puts Wisconsinites at shame. With cheese-centric poetry, comedy, music, and live cooking demonstrations, this event seeks to finally deem the one cheesehead to rule them all.
